I am selling my lovely Aeros Discus 14 B/C with its unique graphics.

Using this glider, I came in 1st place in the 2018 Quest Air Nationals and 3rd place in the 2016 Green Swamp Sport Klassic, both in Sport Class.

The glider is located at Wilotree Flight Park (formerly Quest Air), Florida.

Lots of spare parts included.

Price: $1900

More details:

The B/C model means that the frame is a B model (can be short-packed down to 8 feet), while the sail is a C model (upper surface of the sail is made of mylar styles for higher performance)

The unique graphic design was developed by an artist who also designed the graphics for famous Russian military aerobatic teams. There is no other hang glider in the World with the same graphic design.

History:

Made in 2012
Had only one (very careful) owner
116 flights overall (tow/airtow/mountains: 26/56/34)
146.4 hours airtime (49.8 in 2018)

Has never been crashed. Only once broke one upright on bad landing in 2012.

Last time flown was at the Quest Air Nationals in April, 2018. Since then it's been kept in a trailer at Wilotree Park.

Condition:

Extensive maintenance with thorough inspection was performed in 2018:
  • all wires are new except the top rear wire
  • new tip wands
  • new batten tips
  • new nose cone
  • new bolts, nuts, safety rings, pins, etc.
Nicely tuned. Climbs and glides very good.
Capable of performing aerobatics ;)

Includes:

  • + 2 spare uprights
  • two hang loops of different sizes
  • rear part of the keel-tube is from an Aeros Combat. I would say it gives +10 points to a glide )) but no kidding, this tube is stronger than the original was, and it is white instead of plain aluminium.
  • + lots of new spare bolts, nuts, washers, safety rings, pins, batten tips, etc.
  • + 1 spare tip wand (used)
  • batten pattern

Downsides:

  • a small scratch on the leading edge sail close to the nose (hidden under a Russian flag sticker)
  • the central zipper was slightly repaired near the hang loop
  • the bag is fairly worn
